The place was clean and peaceful. The cabin is spacious and is a nice weekend getaway. There are trails for hiking near the cabin. It is remotely located so I needed to get some groceries/food before reaching there.

Beautiful property, beautiful cabin. The mules are adorable, so nice to have animals on property. Only a short drive to town and close to multiple trails!

Upon arriving, I was surprised at how secluded it was. But after getting settled I was at peace with the trees, animals, and clean air that would become my "home" for 5 days. Rachel and her lovely daughter, Zoey, met me and made me feel welcome and offered help whenever I needed. I was sure I would be up and down the hill going into town but instead, found the nearby restaurant with enough good food and essentials to last my stay - along with what I brought from home. The kitchen well stocked and everything needed was right there. No TV?... no problem. No network news is good news. My son and his wife joined me from Portland after a couple days and our only trip to town was on the final day - where we said goodbye to each other and 'Greensprings Wildlife Sanctuary'. Looking forward to a re-visit.

Checkin/out easy. Owner on land, in separate home, responsive to needs, flexible to family needs. Loved its natural solitude, millions of stars and friendly mules.. A bit short on spoons and smaller pans. But totally workable. Great sauna!

We generally stay in Ashland for the plays, but decided to do a rural stay. This is a nice get away, fun road to drive and the PCT was a bonus. We had no real contact with the owner, so it was impersonal but ok. The price was reasonable until VRBO added excessive administration fees, making it overpriced. Will no longer use VRBO.

Perfect getaway for nature lovers! My husband and I spent a week here and took daily hikes in the area. So many choices! PCT North, PCT South, Brown Mountain area, Mt. McLoughlin, etc. Afterwards, it was luxurious to return to the house for showers, meals, quiet reading time on the sunny deck, and comfy beds! We had everything we needed and loved the peacefulness. The sweet mules were a bonus and we enjoyed giving them apples and carrots. Ashland is also a lovely, nearby community with great food and offerings. Highly recommend! Thanks Rachel!
